Last night he spent his first night in his new big boy bed. I gathered all the needed components once the mattress arrived and put it together myself, put the new sheets on and went to pick up the kids from daycare. They came home and both immediately tried to jump on it. Sadly, it doesn’t have a box spring like Lala’s bed, so it wasn’t very bouncy. Part of the plan, tricky mommy… the cuddler would have definitely attempted to break his neck several times if he could jump on it.
After he was asleep, I went to check on him… you know, to make sure he actually was in the bed and not sleeping on the floor next to the door waiting for me to rescue him from having to go to bed… and at first I couldn’t find him! Finally, I spied him asleep at the very end, sleeping horizontally. He took up maybe an eighth of the space. He looked so big in the crib and now he’s back to looking like a little guy. I’m sure he’s just a blink away from having feet hanging over the end.
