This weekend, I ceremoniously tossed out the last princess pull-up package.
Knock-on wood… Lala hasn’t had an accident for over a week and is regularly using the toilet on her own.
I’m a little too superstitious to do the happy dance, but I think I can confidently say, one down, one to go!
Boys are supposed to easier than girls, right? Tips?
5 Talk To Me!:
I found that my boy was easier. He basically just made the decision one day (while we were traveling) and never peed in a pull up or diaper again. It was a few months before I had decided we were going to try potty training - I was waiting for summer.
Good luck.
Here's to hoping! That would be awesome!
Congrats! Sadly, I have always been told that girls are easier than boys. Tino was poop-trained when we got him (as I like to call it) and so it really wasn't that big a deal to throw out the pull ups. He had a lot of accidents at first, but I really didn't mind cleaning up pee. Now we are working on Victoria and she is really catching on with the peeing, but not so much with the poop. So I don't think I'll be using the cold turkey method with the pull-ups. Good luck! Life is much easier when they manage their own bathroom needs. :)
I took the "let her go at her own pace" method. It's been a year long process for Lala. It would be nice if the cuddler didn't take quite that long, but I have few illusions at this point.
sorry, but my girl was WAY WAY WAY WAY easier than either of my boys!
congrats one getting one down though
