If the IRS ever decides to pay my tax refund… or officially denies me, I’ll be purchasing a car. I’d buy one now, but I could get a much better deal with that wad of cash and why not wait? After all, the IRS keeps stringing me along with 30 day promises. It would be so nice if I could do that with some of my bills. Just string them along indefinitely, with no penalty.
In the meantime, I’ve been window shopping for the past six months.
What do you drive? The ever-popular mom van? Lots of room, but limited gas mileage? An SUV? Safe, tough, cool mom type?
6 Talk To Me!:
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one! We've been waiting for our refund for months, with no word. We finally received a notice saying they'd pay up in 6-8 weeks, but that's heresay at this point.
Good luck with the car shopping!

Weird, we got our refund very quickly. Like two weeks after we filed. Did you sign up for direct deposit?
Direct deposit, yes. Asking me to resend the same info. I already sent, yes. Letter giving themselves another two months to look at four pieces of paper, yes. Morons, yes.
I am living the mini-van dream. Only way to travel with kids.
I love, love, love my Honda Fit (and apparently so do many people, because Honda keeps offering to buy it back from me), but I don't know how it will be with two kids. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
