A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

This weekend, I wrote a post and scheduled to publish on Wednesday. Among other things, it had an update on our adoption journey. I had to go in and edit because this morning I got some big news!!!

All of the paperwork has been completed and everyone is working to get a court date next Monday, Nov. 1st. Less than a week away!!! I spent the entire time on the phone with my lawyer giggling... and now I am in the process of praying for his wife. She's having a baby tomorrow and hopefully, there will be no complications that would cause him have to postpone. Also, you know, that everything goes OK because that would be really bad if it didn't and all. After three years a little selfishness is ok, right?

Hopefully, someone will call and let me know for sure tomorrow. My mother is trying to get that day off, my cousins are checking their work schedule (designated photographer) and I've been penciled in as being gone at work - but, as we all know, there aren't any guarantees.

By the way - the previous update said that I probably had another four to six weeks to wait. Ha!
